Inspired by horology, Caran d’Ache has released an alluring fountain pen in their 1010 line. An intricately designed masterpiece, the pen is fashioned entirely from white gold and diamonds. With inspiration drawn from the gear train of a watch, the bridges of the exterior cage are set with 150 emerald-cut diamonds. The pen cap, stunningly fitted with 850 pure diamonds, is made by a process of hammering and mounting and is also crowned with the Caran d’Ache monogram and also features a clip designed to resemble a watch hand. Caran d’Ache has craftily infused the beauty of a writing instrument and a classic time keeper, while the name of the 1010 line is a nod to a moment in time—ten minutes past ten o’clock.
