Roehr Motorcycles LLC has just confirmed that their new line of bikes is now available for order. The Japanese are usually known for their awesome bikes but this manufacturer is about the only American company that can offer some exceptional competition. If you’re into reducing your carbon footprint, these electric bikes offer all the fun of their gas guzzling cousins without compromising on performance.
Roehr presents three different models ranging from the entry-level eSuperSport to the race-ready eSuperBike RR. All models boast the latest in production electric drive technology however it’s the details that set them apart from one another. Keeping in mind that entry-level is no excuse to ignore its sportbike heritage, the lowest-spec 395lb eSuperSport is equipped with a super efficient single AC induction 48hp motor, 41mm inverted forks and 300mm front brake discs. A 5.8Kw/h worth of batteries gets you 80 miles with a 100mph top speed. Turning it up a notch, the mid-range 500lb eSuperBike is powered by dual AC induction motors for a combined 96hp with a 7.7Kw/h battery for 100 miles of power and a top speed of 135mph. Also, the rear shocks are boosted with an upgraded Ohlins unit to handle the extra weight. Finally, the star of the show, the RR is a fully upgraded eSuperBike with additional features such as dual 320mm Brembo brakes, Ohlins suspension all around with adjustable inverted forks in the front, lightweight 17 inch wheels and race spec performance tires.
The pricing ranges from $16,995 to start, with the eSuperBike costing $27,595 and the RR coming in at $34,495. These built-to-order bikes require a $2000 refundable deposit with all orders processed on a first come, first served basis.
