Anish Kapoor, winner of the Turner Prize, an art award celebrating new developments in contemporary art, was responsible for mega art pieces such as Taratantara a ten storey, thirty five meter by fifty five meter piece and Marsyas a work of steel and polyvinyl chloride. Kapoor has also designed the ArcelorMittal Orbit, a one hundred and fifteen meter spiral sculpture of the Olympic rings in preparation for the London 2012 Olympic Games. It will be the largest piece of public art in the UK.
So why Anish Kapoor? BULGARI took a risky bold step having the designer of massive art pieces interpret the ring. The risk paid off! In its debut, B.zero1 won instant attention for its brilliant combination of two well known BULGARI motifs: the Tubogas and the “BULGARI” logo. The earliest rings included the white gold ring, though the collection was expanded to include the stylized multi-band ring available today.
The ring is up for auction. Click here to bid on it.
