Our first Idol Gives Back Online Auction has come to a close!
We thank everyone who participated and give special congratulations to those who placed winning bids. Not only are you enjoying once-in-a-lifetime items, but you are supporting the Idol Gives Back Foundation (IGBF). IGBF also thanks all the magnificent individuals and companies who donated extraordinary items and experiences for auction.
The Idol Gives Back Foundation will distribute the net proceeds of funds that were raised to organizations such as The Children’s Health Fund, Feeding America, Malaria No More, Save the Children’s U.S. Programs and the UN Foundation. These charities engage in programs that provide needed food, medical care, housing, education and other assistance to children and their families living in some of the most disadvantaged areas of the U.S. and throughout the world. All of these charitable organizations have a proven track record of making a positive impact through responsible giving.
Watch Idol Gives Back, the live musical television celebration this Wednesday on FOX (8:00pm-10:00pm ET live/ PT tape-delayed). Ryan Seacrest will be joined by emcee Queen Latifah for an unforgettable two-hour fundraising special, featuring guest performers including Sir Elton John, Alicia Keys, Carrie Underwood, The Black Eyed Peas, Annie Lennox, Jeff Beck and Joss Stone and Mary J. Blige.
